The countdown is on—we’re looking forward to celebrating another outstanding year of public works accomplishments at the APWA Oregon Fall Conference in Eugene!
The Awards Committee needs your help recognizing the exceptional people, projects, agencies, consulting firms, and contractors that have made a difference over the past year.
What’s New This Year?
- Project of the Year Awards will be presented at the Fall Conference.
- Individual Awards will be presented at the Spring Conference.
Complete award information, eligibility requirements, and application forms are available on the APWA Oregon website on the Award Applications page.
Although award applications are accepted year-round, the submission deadlines are:
- Project of the Year: July 31
- Individual Awards: January 31
If you have a project or colleague deserving of recognition, we encourage you to submit your nomination as soon as possible.
Project of the Year Award
Did your agency or firm recently complete a public works project you’re proud of? We’d love to hear about it. Share the story behind your project’s challenges, innovations, collaboration, and community impact. Awards are presented across five project categories and four construction cost divisions, giving projects of all sizes an opportunity to be recognized.
Communications Award
Know someone who deserves the “Bulldog Award”? This award recognizes individuals who excel at communicating the value of public works through education, outreach, and public engagement.
Everyday Heroes Award
Every organization has someone who consistently goes above and beyond. The Everyday Heroes Award recognizes employees or teams who exemplify outstanding customer service, innovation, teamwork, mentorship, and dedication to serving their coworkers and the public.
Young Leader Award
Do you know an APWA member under the age of 35 who is already making a significant impact? This award recognizes emerging leaders who demonstrate innovation, commitment to the profession, and leadership potential, regardless of years of experience.
Sustainability Practices Award
Public works agencies and consulting firms continue to find innovative ways to improve sustainability through greener design practices, efficient use of resources, and environmentally responsible infrastructure solutions. If your organization is advancing sustainability, we’d love to recognize your efforts.
