Are you ready to lead and manage a dynamic team overseeing the maintenance and operations of our City’s vital infrastructure? We’re seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to take on the role of Public Works Operations Manager. This pivotal position puts you at the forefront of managing and maintaining essential systems like street pavements, sewer systems, stormwater systems, traffic control, and beyond. In this role you will manage and lead department managers and staff to ensure the smooth operation of these critical components, making a tangible impact on the daily lives of our community members.
Required Education and Experience:

  • Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; and
  • Five (5) years of increasingly responsible public works, utility maintenance, or private construction experience with three (3) years in an administrative supervisory capacity.
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, public or business administration, or specific area of study as deemed applicable may substitute for two (2) years of experience; or
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job as those listed above.
